What counts as proof in Morocco?
Not every purchase here comes with a printed receipt. Many pharmacies and small shops write receipts by hand, with a stamp, and some give none at all. Card payments are still rare.
So each entry says what proof we have: a stamped receipt, a card receipt, a bank transfer, or a photo of the goods handed over. When we have nothing better, we say so, rather than pretending.
Can I see your registration certificate?
Yes. Glimmer of Dawn is registered as a charity in Tangier, Morocco. The certificate lists our board members' personal details, so we send it on request instead of publishing it.

Questions about our accounts
How will I know where my money went?
We publish every purchase on our Where the money goes page: the date, the project, what we bought and what it cost, with a photo of the receipt when there is one. Many small shops in Morocco only give handwritten receipts, so each entry says what kind of proof we have.
Can I give my zakah through you?
Yes. Choose Zakah when you give, or write ZAKAH in your bank transfer reference. Zakah gifts are kept apart from all other gifts and only spent on people who are eligible to receive zakah.
Is Glimmer of Dawn a registered charity?
Yes. Glimmer of Dawn is registered as a charity in Tangier, Morocco. The registration certificate lists our board members' personal details, so we don't publish it online, but we'll send you a copy if you ask. Choose “Certificate request” on the contact form.
